Ralph Fiennes Ralph Fiennes was born in 1962 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England. He has six siblings, including the actor Joseph Fiennes and the director Martha Fiennes. Ralph spent part of his youth in Ireland, in West Cork and County Kilkenny before his family moved back to Salisbuiry, England. He trained at RADA and with the RSC, and started his film career playing Heathcliff in Wurtherin Heights in 1992 opposite Juliet Binoche. He has won a Tony award for his role in Hamlet on Broadway and he has portrayed Lord Voldemort in harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as well as in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
